Lavia moves ‘off’

Southampton boss Russell Martin has hinted that Liverpool target Romeo Lavia could be leaving St. Marys sooner or later The Belgian midfielder, who was of interest to both Liverpool and Chelsea, was kept out of the Saints’ side in Saturday’s 4-4 draw with Norwich.

After the game, Martin said. “He is doing very well while his situation has been deteriorating for a long time. That needs to be settled quickly for him, for us and for everyone really.”

“It is slowly coming to a conclusion and I think we have prepared ourselves for life without him in the six weeks we have been here. So it wasn’t a big drama.”
