As the US Open draws closer and closer The attention then turns to Ohio for the 2023 Cincinnati Masters as both the ATP and WTA tour championships go head-to-head.

When is the 2023 Cincinnati Masters held?

The Cincinnati Masters main draw kicks off on Sunday, August 13, with the ATP drawing beginning and the WTA drawing to follow on Monday, August 14. Both events will end on Sunday, August 20.

Daytime sessions start at 4pm BST (11am local time), with night sessions generally starting at midnight (7pm local time).

Both the men’s and women’s qualifiers will take place this coming weekend (August 12 and 13).

Players Competing at the 2023 Cincinnati Masters

The 56-player draw for Cincinnati is the same as the Canadian Open, with the top eight earning a bye advancing to the second round.

The men’s draw was led by Carlos Alcaraz, followed by two-time event champion Novak Djokovic, who will play his first tournament since losing in the final. Excellent Wimbledon

Djokovic will make a rare appearance in opposite compatriot Nikola Cacic, with the Serb’s matchup together for the fourth time.

Other former Cincinnati Masters winners in the draw include Daniil Medvedev, Grigor Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev.

The men’s main draw represented three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka and American hopes Mackenzie McDonald, Brandon Nakashima and John. Isner

Iga Swiatek will try to improve her record at this year’s Cincinnati Masters, with the current world No. 1 having a negative win-loss record at the event.

The Poles will face stiff competition. including from former champions Victoria Azarenka, Madison Keys and Karolina Pliskova.

The main draw for the women’s team goes to returning former No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, seven-time major winner Venus Williams, Bianca Andriescu and Sloane Stephens. Former US Open champion and women’s main event champion Peyton Stearns

The Cincinnati Masters provided two shock winners in last year’s singles draw, while Borna Coric and Caroline Garcia emerged victorious.

Coric enters the event with his protected rank. and defeated 5 seeded players to lift the Masters 1000 title for the first time.

With 152nd place, Coric became the lowest-ranked player to win a tournament at this level. ever since they started back in the 1990s.

While Garcia has won two WTA 1000 titles and reached No. 4 in the world, the Frenchwoman had to qualify after her slump in form forced her out of the rankings.

Garcia became the first qualifier in history to reach the WTA 1000 final, and she did better after defeating Petra Kvitova in straight sets.

Where is the Cincinnati Masters held?

The tournament has been held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio since 1987.

The stadium is headlined by the main stadium, which can hold 10,000 spectators, with 18 additional outdoor hard courts in the complex.

While the field is upholding their traditions. The 124-year-old vase trophy has been updated.
