Arsenal deal with Timber injury as new signing could face months
Arsenal set to not sign Jerrine Timbers in the summer for several months. After this defender suffered a knee ligament injury in the opening game of the Premier League.
Arsenal new boy Jerian Timber has been sidelined for months after suffering an injury in the Premier League opener.
The Dutchman joined from Ajax for £40 million this summer. He made his debut in a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday. But was taken off early in the second half with a questionable knee problem. The sticks were tested and scanned several times as doctors wanted to gauge the extent of the damage.

The Arsenal manager said immediately after the victory: “The officials, the doctors, they were looking at him and they were happy to carry on, so was he, but immediately in the second half. Timber, who was on Manchester United’s radar 12 months ago as part of a defensive lineup featuring Dutchman William Saliba and Ben White, can play a number of positions in defense. But now the North Londoners will be missing out on that versatility.
